Thoughts? I wonder how much influence the RSR race car has given it.

Not bad. Looks like a GT3 with slight improvements, which it is.
Never mind. I just realized it has side intakes, like on the Turbo. there were rumors that it would use turbochargers because the GT3 engines caught fire, so it looks like they are using them. I don't think this is a good thing. Leave the turbos to the GT2.

Truth be told I dont know the difference between any of the 911's, 998's, 626's, 992's, 99999's

Maybe they bumped the displacement and given the fact it's a track car they wanted increased cooling?

Perhaps, but they look exactly like the turbo's intakes. Doesn't the GT3 have increased cooling using the front intakes? They could also use the space currently occupied by the frunk for increased cooling. If this is the track version, I'm sure they would compromise storage space for more cooling.

Surely if the 991 GT3 RS has turbos it will be the quickest thing to ever hit the track. That's the only positive.

no me gusta. Nope Nope

Yup, definitely faster than the Ferrari F2004 Formula 1 car.

It looks like one of those stick on vents you can buy at autozone.

Looks legit, especially compared to the mule.
Here's the RSR for comparison. So the RS looks similar to the RSR in that they're both 911s, but not much more than that.

As long as it's N/A and that extra vent is just to cool down that high revving screamer to avoid (more) fires then I'm happy with the design.
I'll take one in white, bright blue, or orange. Don't care which color as long as it's one of those 3 and someone else pays for it :)

It does look tacky. But it has a function. Porsche noticed that the 458 sells well despite all the extra aero/cooling holes and gizmos that it has so they said "f it".

even if functional, it reminds me of Mansory or Gemballa lol. but oh well, ultra rad car none the less :]

Yeah haha. At least it doesn't have a front splitter that's so aggressive that it would cut off your feet if it hit you at 15 MPH

lol yup, like all those crazy Cayaenne body kits

I'm sure it looks better in a different color. Also I want RSR fenders on it.

why would the fires mean they use turbochargers?
![]() 06/16/2014 at 21:55 |

I heard they didn't want to risk developing the engine more and having more recalls. They could simply get the same power needed by bolting turbochargers on.

Does anyone else think this looks like a model? there are no door seams and the handles are not real.

You do realise that it has those because it has same body as the Turbo.

Hm ... no, that's a leaked picture of a GT3 RS die-cast. :p
It looks pretty good if you cover up the front wheel air outlets.

Me so sad. Someone posted this today on Oppo and Travis shares it on Jalopnik. You posted this two days ago and receive no credit. :(

This has actually happened with a couple posts of mine. I'll chalk it up to Travis getting finding this picture somewhere else, though the fact this is two days after I've posted this is pretty sad.
